” Families are the compass that guides us. They are the inspiration to reach great heights, and our comfort when we occasionally falter” Brad Henry
I love the above quote from Brad Henry, but also realize that it is incomplete. Our families can be of great inspiration and comfort, but at times family relationships are a struggle. If you are looking to strengthen family relationships, improve communication, build trust and improve conflict resolution skills then family counseling maybe helpful to you.
Family counseling can include anyone that you consider to be a part of your family and is willing to engage in counseling with you.
Please note that I currently do not have any late afternoon/evening openings. If your family is unable to attend sessions during morning or early afternoon hours, I suggest that you choose a therapist who has availability that is a better fit for your needs.
Topics that I have helped families address in family therapy include:
- Anxiety
- Communication
- Conflict resolution
- Creating family routines
- Depression
- Implementing Family Rules and Boundaries
- Establishing Trust
